Illustration Friday: The Number Five

For Illustration Friday, I made some thumbnail sketches for the theme of the number five.

I just finished reading a book with superheroes in it called Renegades by Marissa Meyer...

This made me want to make a poster with five superheroes in it. I then came up with a name for my heroes, The Fabulous Five.

These are some of my references that I used to create my thumbnails. When I was thinking about my idea, The Incredibles came to mind since there are multiple people so I found these two posters. They helped me to figure out how to place five people on a poster. The one on the right was designed by Tom Whalen.

I'm going to put this project to the side for now but in the future, I hope to paint one of my designs in watercolour.
