I found an old script for a commercial so I decided to create a rough storyboard for it, then I made more detailed thumbnails, and I finished with picking one of the thumbnails and coloured it. Here is the rough sketches of the storyboard. Next, I took my rough thumbnails and made them more realistic and detailed. I used these pictures to help me draw an accurate human and banana. And finally for the coloured thumbnail that I picked. Here is the process I took to colour my design. 1. I covered the background with blue for the sky and you'll notice I put it everywhere. This will help me with my sidewalk later. I did the sky first because it's the farthest thing away in the design. 2. I painted in the grass, shrubs and tree tops because it was second farthest. I used different green to have variety.  3. I added the brown for the tree trunks because, you guessed it, it's the third farthest away. 4. I colour the sidewalk. But I...

For Illustration Friday, the theme was Mythology. For this topic, I will design a tattoo sleeve. I mostly researched greek mythology because it's what first comes to my mind. Here are some images I found... I decided to go with these creatures/beings because I liked their design and I thought they would look interesting as a tattoo. I created the thumbnails for my design in photoshop. These are my thumbnails... Out of all of them, I wanted to continue with Poseidon because his stood out the most to me. I continued with my design by adding shading and highlights. Here's a picture of the beginning of my shading process... And finally, here is the final tattoo design. I put the tattoo on an arm so you all can see how it would look in real life. I'm really happy with how this turned out and I can't wait to do something like this again.

This weeks Illustration Friday theme is Blue. I decided to make a design for a website landing page which will be called "Blue Ocean" - a non-govermental organization whose mission is to do research, heighten public awareness and provide education, organize lobbying efforts and do fundraising all related to saving the world's oceans. Our oceans are facing multiple threats, from coral reef bleaching due to climate change to oil spills, from overfishing to the dumping of millions of tons of plastic garbage. Blue Ocean will be an international effort to mobilize the people of the world to try to save the oceans. Here are some reference pictures I found of other websites that helped me create my design... For Illustration Friday , I made some thumbnail sketches for the theme of the number five. I just finished reading a book with superheroes in it called Renegades by Marissa Meyer... This made me want to make a poster with five superheroes in it. I then came up with a name for my heroes, The Fabulous Five. These are some of my references that I used to create my thumbnails. When I was thinking about my idea, The Incredibles came to mind since there are multiple people so I found these two posters. They helped me to figure out how to place five people on a poster. The one on the right was designed by Tom Whalen. Here are my thumbnails for a poster design of The Fabulous Five.   I'm going to put this project to the side for now but in the future, I hope to paint one of my designs in watercolour.
